1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 And said: "Should we abandon our gods for the sake of an insane poet?" 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils. 65 They will eat and fill their bellies with it, 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
