3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
