Al-Saaffaat 3 of 5
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
