Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 thus offering an insight and a reminder unto every human being who willingly turns unto God. 8 We have sent blessed water down from the sky to grow gardens, harvestable crops 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah and the men of Er-Rass, and Thamood, 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
