Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
