Seest thou one who turns back, 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
