The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created the human 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
