Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for him who dreadeth the standing before his Lord will be two Gardens. 46 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 47 Having in them various kinds. 48 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 49 Therein are two running fountains. 50 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 51 In both of them are two pairs of every fruit. 52 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 53 They will recline upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruits of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 55 There will be bashful maidens untouched by mankind or jinn before. 56 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 57 (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral. 58 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 59 Should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness? -- 60 Which of the laudable attributes of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 61 And beside them are two other gardens, 62 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 63 Dark green with foliage. 64 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 65 In both of them are two springs gushing forth. 66 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 67 In them (both) will be fruits, and date- palms and pomegranates. 68 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 69 In them are goodly things, beautiful ones. 70 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 71 [There the blest will live with their] companions pure and modest, in pavilions [splendid] 72 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 73 Untouched before them by man or jinni - 74 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets. 76 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 77 Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. 78

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
