The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 So those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In Gardens of Bliss: 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.). 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 and banana trees, 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And couches raised up. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 And have made them virgins. 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
