▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 it is surely a noble Koran 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
