Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
