Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
