Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
