Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
