Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
