The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 then he mustered 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
