The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
