The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those who float in space, 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And those who govern the event, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
