The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 where then are you going? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
