Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble recorders, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
