The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
