(Muhammad), We have revealed the Quran to you in gradual steps. 23 So persevere with the command of your Lord and do not pay any heed to the wicked and the unbelieving, 24 And mention the name of your Lord [in prayer] morning and evening 25 And during night, prostrate yourself to Him (i.e. the offering of Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers), and glorify Him a long night through (i.e. Tahajjud prayer). 26 Indeed these people love what they have, the fleeting one, and have forsaken the immensely important day behind them. 27 It is We Who created them, and We have made their joints strong; but, when We will, We can substitute the like of them by a complete change. 28 Indeed, this is a reminder, so he who wills may take to his Lord a way. 29 Yet you will not unless Allah wills; surely, Allah is the Knower, the Wise. 30 He makes whom He pleases to enter into His mercy; and (as for) the unjust, He has prepared for them a painful chastisement. 31
