The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And it is no joke. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
