The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
