The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
