The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night when it covers the day, 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 And the creating of the male and the female, 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 So for one who gave and practised piety 5 And believeth in goodness; 6 We shall surely ease him to the Path of Easing; 7 but for him that is a miser, and sufficed, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. 10 And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? 11 Surely, in Our hands is guidance, 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 And away from it shall be kept the one who guards most (against evil), 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 only seeking the Face of his Lord the Most High; 20 And he shall soon be well-pleased. 21
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
