The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the night when it draws a veil, 1 And the day when it shines in all its glory, 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 your striving is indeed to different ends! 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 We shall facilitate for him the way to Hardship, 10 His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. 11 It is indeed for Us to show the way, 12 And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 None shall enter it save the most wretched, 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 The pious ones will be safe from this fire 17 Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness). 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
