Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
