Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
