Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
