To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah). 41 Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, 54 Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. 55
