Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the morning brightness, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
