The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 Said they: "Thou art but one of the bewitched, 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
