The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 What time Shu'aib said unto them: fear ye not? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. 187 He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
