Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Has not there come to you the news of the overwhelming calamity? 1 On that Day, there shall be downcast faces, 2 Travailing, worn. 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 In the high empyrean, 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 Therein will be a bubbling spring: 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 and prepared goblets, 14 cushions ranged, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 how the heavens are raised up high, 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 thou canst not compel them [to believe]. 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
