The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
