The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)
75 verses, revealed in Medina after The Heifer (Al-Baqarah) before The Amramites (Al-Imraan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ They (the believers) ask you (Muhammad) about the booty captured (from the enemies) during a war. Tell them, "It belongs to God and the Messenger. If you have faith, have fear of God. Settle the disputes among yourselves and obey God and His Messenger." 1 They only are the (true) believers whose hearts feel fear when Allah is mentioned, and when His revelations are recited unto them they increase their faith, and who trust in their Lord; 2 Who establish regular prayers and spend (freely) out of the gifts We have given them for sustenance: 3 those in truth are the believers; they have degrees with their Lord, and forgiveness, and generous provision. 4 Just as thy Lord ordered thee out of thy house in truth, even though a party among the Believers disliked it, 5 and they disputed with you concerning the truth after it had become manifest, as though they were being driven to their death with open eyes. 6 God promised you that one of the two parties would fall to you, and you wished that the one without sting should be yours, but God wanted to establish the truth by His words and cut off the root of those who denied the truth -- 7 That He should establish the truth and abolish falsehood, even if the criminals disliked it. 8 When you (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) were seeking the help of your Lord, so He answered your prayers that, “I will help you with a row of thousands of angels.” 9 And Allah made it not but good tidings and so that your hearts would be assured thereby. And victory is not but from Allah. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
