Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11

Almighty God's Truth.
