The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the Clear Book. 2 It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not. 3 We could send down from the heavens a sign to them if We pleased, before which their heads would remain bowed. 4 A fresh remembrance has never come to them from the Merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule. 6 Have they, then, never considered the earth - how much of every noble kind [of life] We have caused to grow thereon? 7 Surely in this there is a sign, yet most of them would not believe: 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
