Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck. 5
Almighty Allah's Truth.
