We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 He utters not a word, but there is a vigilant watcher at hand. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 (It will be said): 'Indeed, cast into Gehenna (Hell) every deviating unbeliever, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 My Word is not changed; and never do I inflict the least wrong upon My servants.” 29
