The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has taught the Koran. 2 Created man, 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
