Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 And ease for me my task 26 and my tongue fluent 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
