And [yet,] they have a sign [of Our power to create and to resurrect] in the lifeless earth which We make alive, and out of which We bring forth grain, whereof they may eat; 33 and produced therein grains from which they eat and established therein gardens of palms trees and vineyards and have made streams flow therein 34 so that they might eat of its fruit and the labor of their hands. Will they not give thanks? 35 All glory to Him who created pairs of everything that grows from the earth, and out of themselves, and other things they do not know. 36 Of the signs for them is how We separated the day from the night and thus they remained in darkness; 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk. 39 Neither is it allowable to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float on in a sphere. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship. 41 And have created for them of the like thereof whereon they ride. 42 And if We will, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout (or helper) for them (to hear their cry for help) nor will they be saved. 43 save as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away. 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 They also say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak truly?' 48 They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. 49 Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 50
