We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
