Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We bestowed on him his household and along with them the like thereof, out of mercy from us, and a remembrance unto men of understanding. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 Remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- possessors of strength and vision. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 wherein they shall recline, wherein they shall ask for abundant fruit and drinks, 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what is promised you for the Day of Reckoning. 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 This (is for the righteous). And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end, 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 This is for the criminals – so that they may taste it – boiling hot water and pus. 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They say, 'Our Lord, whoso forwarded this for us, give him a double chastisement in the Fire!' 61 They say, 'How is it with us, that we do not see men here that we counted among the wicked? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Verily this is the very truth: the wrangling of the fellows of the Fire! 64
