And, who is better in saying than he who invites to Allah, does what is right, and says: 'Surely, I am of those who surrender' 33 But [since] good and evil cannot be equal, repel thou [evil] with something that is better and lo! he between whom and thyself was enmity [may then become] as though he had [always] been close [unto thee,] a true friend! 34 But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good]. 35 And O listener! If a distracting thought from the devil reaches you, seek the refuge of Allah; indeed He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 36 The night and day and the sun and moon are (only) some of His signs. So do not bow before the sun and the moon, but bow in homage to God who created them, if you truly worship Him. 37 And if they grow stiff-necked, then verily those who are with thy Lord, hallow Him night and day, and they weary not. ۩ 38 And of His Signs is that you see the earth withered, then We send down water upon it, and lo! it quivers and swells. Surely He Who gives life to the dead earth will also give life to the dead. Surely He has power over everything. 39 Those who disbelieve Our verses when it comes to them are not hidden from Us. Is he who is cast in the Fire better than he who comes in safety on the Day of Resurrection? Do as you will, surely, He sees the things you do. 40 Those who reject the Reminder [the Quran] when it comes to them [are the losers] -- truly it is a mighty Book: 41 Falsehood shall not come to it from before it nor from behind it; a revelation from the Wise, the Praised One. 42 Naught is said to thee but what already was said to the Messengers before thee. Surely thy Lord is a Lord of forgiveness and of painful retribution. 43 Had We sent this as a Quran [in a language] other than Arabic, they would have said, "Why are its verses not clearly explained? What! An Arab Prophet, and a scripture in a foreign tongue?" Say, "It is a guide and a healing to those who believe; but for those who do not believe, there is a deafness in their ears, and a covering over their eyes: they are [as it were] being called from a very distant place." 44
