The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise, and warn. 2 Proclaim the glory of your Lord; 3 and purify your clothing, 4 and shun uncleanness, 5 and bestow not favour in order to seek from others a greater return, 6 and be patient unto thy Lord. 7 When the Horn is blown, 8 that will surely be a hard day, 9 For the unbelievers, anything but easy. 10 Leave Me alone [to deal] with him whom I have created alone, 11 To whom I granted resources in abundance, 12 And children to be by his side! 13 And made life smooth and comfortable for him! 14 and who still greedily desires that I should bestow upon him more. 15 By no means! He has been stubbornly hostile to Our revelation: 16 I shall soon constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 For he thought and he plotted -- 18 Perish he! How maliciously he devised! 19 Again, may he be cursed how he plotted; 20 May he be condemned again for his schemes! He looked around, 21 Then frowned he and scowled. 22 Then he turned away, and was haughty. 23 said, "This (the Quran) is nothing but magic, inherited from ancient magicians. 24 This is naught but the word of a mortal. 25 I will cast him into Hell-fire 26 What do you think Hell-fire is? 27 It neither spares, nor releases, 28 It scorches the mortal. 29 Over it are nineteen [powers]. 30 We have appointed none but angels to guard the Fire, and made their number only as a trial for the unbelievers, so that those to whom the Book was given are certain and those who believe increase in belief. And that those who were given the Book, and those who believe will not be in doubt. And that those in whose hearts there is a sickness, together with the unbelievers, may say: 'What did Allah intend by this as an example' As such, Allah leaves in error whom He will and He guides whomsoever He will. None knows the hosts of your Lord except He. This is no more than a Reminder to humans. 31
