In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 separating one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till an appointed term, 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 as black camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
