Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
